Can't Update

Hello All,

This is my first post so apologies if this topic has been covered before, I have tried searching didn't find anything.

I have been running the beta version of Mango now for the last few months and decided to restore my phone back to NoDo in preparation for Mango final release, on restoring back through zune I experienced an error; luckily I have the original firmware that was shipped with the device so I flashed back to this version. I have gone to zune to update the firmware I have received February update fine (7008), but when searching for other updates (NoDo), I am getting in Zune this device is up to date (7008), now I know that there is other update available, as I have previously restore another handset the same way and this updated twice which included NoDo.

Has anyone come across this issue before and if so what is the resolution as the phone is working fine on 7008, but am concerned now without having NoDo I am not going to be able to receive the Mango update.

I'm pretty sure updates are rolled in together. So you only have to do one update to get both. I'm up to date with 7004

Sorry if you've already tried the following MangoGuy, but try having a wee lookie at the following help page.

Not sure if it's relevent to your problem but though i'd post it anyway. :)

You could always give the Samsung updater a go, if it doesn't see any newer update nothing lost.

I had this problem once, but to be honest I can't remember what build it was, but Zune said I was up to date.

When I tried the Samsung updater it installed a newer build.

Thanks, Just tried the Samsung Update still says 'Your Phone is up to Date' Current Phone Software Version: 7.0 (7008). Will have to keep trying

Sorry about that MangoGuy, was worth a try. :(

Perhaps when the real Mango arrives for you Zune will have a change of heart. :)

(If you haven't already managed an update before it arrives)
 
Have you tried removing your battery? Then put it back in, reboot and check for an update?

If palandri's suggestion doesn't work, check you also have the latest Zune ? Not that it should make any difference but you never know, anything's worth a shot. (4.8.2345.0)
 
Zune is the latest version, and have tried the battery thing, still then same oh well worth a shot guys thanks for your help

Can't think what else to try MangoGuy, Microsoft wouldn't have removed the NoDo update for any reason would they ? Don't think so.
 
Can't see them removing it either, unless they have for Mango??, may call them they where really helpfull when I called with an issue with zune a while back, see if they can recommend anything

Yes wouldn't hurt to see what they say. Mango rollout starts tomorrow (Deutsche Telekom) so who knows.
 
Thanks sweetsourwp7, tried the first option and worked first time, i'm sure I have tried this before maybe I didn't leave it long enough anyway have now updated to 7392 (NoDo)
