Send to Car

Today, I'm very happy to announce my fist app called Send to Car.:smile:



Send to Car is an application that let you send Addresses or Business directions to your Google GPS enabled Car using Maps, Here Maps, Bing Search, Here Explore.



Today we have those Makes available in USA (Audi, BMW, Rolls-Royce, MINI, Kia, Mercedes-Benz, Nissan, Infinity) and many others available in different countries like Toyota.

I will be adding MapQuest and OnStar enabled cars in a future update.

This app is great, works perfect with Audi. The only problem is that it doesn't shows when searching the windows phone store, so the only way to install it is using this link

Hey, I'm based in Germany and I just installed the app on my Lumia 830. After I have choosen the app "send to car" to open the link the Destination screen where I have to input the account is not showing up. It just goes back to the Screen "start Navigation".
Any idea what is wrong?

If you have 8.1 you will need to do this first:
Make the default navigation app to "send to car" or "Windows Phone Maps"
Settings>>Applications>>Maps
Set default voice navigation app
"send to car" or "Windows Phone Maps"

---- Now ---

1 - Open the basic Maps app
2 - Find an address
3 - Click on Directions
4 - Select "Send to Car"
5 - Fill your information
6 - Click on send

Thanks FearLOrd for your quick reply. I did exactly what you proposed but I still do not get the last Screen where I should enter "Make" and "'Destination". After choosing "send to car" on the former Screen it looks like it just skips the "send Destination" Screen and goes back to the "start Navigation" Screen instead.
Not sure what is wrong here. it is a Lumia 830 device with the latest W8.1 updates

thanks for your reply. first of all I have the german language installed on my WP8.1. Region is Germany. the Screens are similiar to yours until "send to Car". Only the last one is not showing up after pushing the "send to car" button the former Screen with the Start Navigation is coming up again.


after pushing "send to car" the following Screen appears

Looks like Google modified the API this week again. I will need some time to hack it.

I started getting an error message once I open the app.

ERROR:
The remote server returned an error: NotFound

I hide the app from the STORE. Google change again and I will need to do a big update.

also thinking about add make it universal. I will update when I have it done

This is a beautiful idea, i'm loving the concept. You just might want to not use unofficial APIs, that's going to get you desisted by Microsoft, google, or if not, you'll just be updating it constantly. I'm not sure how these APIs work but you may be better off looking into making a connection via bluetooth, wifi, or many of the other mediums that cars use to connect with devices.
