How the hell do I cut in wp8.1

No option to cut the text. Just select the text, then copy and delete.

Copy & Paste works like this:

tap any word you want to copy and it will be highlighted. There'll be two visible lines with a circle on the bottom appearing on the left and right of the marked word. These lines can be tapped, held and moved, in case you want to expand you selection.
On top of said selection a circular button will appear, allowing you to copy your selection to the clipboard. If you now want to remove the selected text (which would make it cut rather than only copy), just tap the back (delete) button on the keyboard.

The recently copied text can be pasted by tapping the circular icon on the top left of the keyboard.

thanks , but I am specifically asking for CUT , not copy. cant believe we cant do that.. while editing the documents or emailing.

So disappointed.. ... This is not fixed in WP 8.1. now we wait for 2-3 years for another simple necessity

What's the big deal with tapping delete after having copied a selected text? OO

The reason why they didn't include Cut is to simplify things. Only the cut option showing up on selecting a text is kind of neat. It is much better than a row of options sliding in and wasting space (like in Android).

Cut is simply copy + delete. It simplifies things to keep the extra button out.
