Windows Phone and Gifs

I browse reddit and imgur on occasion and sometimes download gifs and I soon realized that wp8.1 cant play gifs, bummer. Gifs however play very well in the imgurnation app but baconit and baconography dont play gifs very well. So I searched the store and found Gif Viewer,GifMaster and Gifx which are supposed to play gifs downloaded in internet explorer, gif viewer is the only one that actually can but the gifs stutter badly, at first I thought it was my internet connection but this problem persisted even on my home wifi and I was wondering if this is because my phone is not powerful enough to play gifs. My phone is a lumia 520 running the dev preview. So my question is do phones such as the lumia 630 920 930 and 1520 have problem with gifs and do I need to upgrade to a more powerful phone or do I have to keep my gifs on my pc.

Update Gifx appears to be working

Windows phone doesn't play gifs. I have a 1520 and get so annoyed when friends seemed me gifs through text and I have to save them in order to be able to view them with gifviewer. I wish I could see them in my messaging app
