No sound when i dont have my headphones hooked up nokia lumina 521??

This problem just started happening when i got my new headphones. So when i have my headphones plugged in i can make calls and hear the person on the other end and can listen to music. but when i unplug the headphones and try to make a call the call goes through but i cant hear anyone on the other end of the phone and cant hear any music coming out of the speakers either...I have tried restarting the phone and also have removed the battery for a little while and started it back up again but nothing is working.. Please help.

My inclination is to think that the headphone jack is stuck, thinking headphones are connected all the time. Its a common problem among any and all phones. You could try various solutions on the internet. I would try to plug in and out a couple times, but there are other solutions out there.
