Apps & alphabetical lists

Is it possible to switch off this alphabetical listing for the apps? I know that once you have 40 apps or more this auto-activities and I personally think that it is an eyesore but that is just my opinion. Maybe with future upgrades to 8.1 or maybe win 9 there will be this option possible?

At the moment, I'm afraid it doesn't seem possible to do that. It may possibly come in future updates if a number of users request it. I am not sure if it is something that has been brought up to Microsoft at this moment.

I would rather like the ability to sort app list differently like grid view, list, etc.
