Windows phone 8.1 dev preview language settings

Under settings -> language I have English UK and English US.

I cannot for the life of me remove the English US settings. I've tried changing everything to / from UK but still the setting is there.

Is this a dev preview thing and if so while I be able to remove it once the full version of 8.1 is released?

Edit: The phone (Lumia 920) was bought in Russia. Would flashing the phone using UK firmware solve this?

why do u want to delete it?
just simply download another language and change ur preference for the newer language. simple.
i never tried, but it might be possible to delete the US English language after installing other languages and set them priority.
further, as 8.1 dev preview is specifically launched in US (that's why Cortana is available in US region only), it might be possible that Dev Preview prevents deleting it. it may change after final release.

I've tried downloading other languages and changing preferences. It has made no difference.

Why do I want to delete it? Because I'm not in the US. Simple.
