Anyone have any idea about official release date of Windows Phone 8.1 by Nokia in India?

Don't know when in India but it is supposed to be out at sometime this week in the US. So I guess in India could be next month or so.

You have been able to do that since windows phone 8 and possibly 7.

From what evleaks released, I think the small preparation update will start in two or three days and the full update will take another two or three days.
This is just a guess and I'm not sure what the release dates are. Also looking at the image that the tipster tweeted, I think the dates will vary according to your device

Microsoft had announced that the update would be rolled out to all Windows Phone 8.0 smartphones on June 24 and that is today

Microsofts Support Lifecycle for WP 8.1 is starting today. It doesn't mean that manufacturers and carriers are rolling out the update today. They are very different things.

i care more about Cyan release than the actually WP8.1 release....everyone has WP Preview installed anyways it's just the firmware update that everyone else is waiting

Me too, the cyan is the one that will make our phone much more better with 8.1

But Microsoft doesn't release it...the carriers and/or device makers do. You should be checking their pages instead.
