Which Lumia to buy for my prepaid T-Mobile account

W

WPCentral Question

I currently have a Lumia 521. I was anticipating buying the 635 and selling my 521 on eBay. However, for some $60.00 m,ore, I see the Lumia 810 on Amazon - T-Mobile branded and new. I know this is an older phone, but it has many more features then the 635, and the most attractive ones from the 635 (LTE4G, larger screen, although slightly smaller than the 635...etc.) Has the front facing camera, flash, 1 GM RAM that the 635 doesn't have.

So can anyone give me a good reason not to buy the 810 instead? Is there any newer technology in the 635 that is lacking in the older 810? Does anyone know if the 810 supports NFC? How about wireless charging? Also, they claim the micro SD card is good to 32 GB - I have a 64 GB card. Any reason why this will not work in this phone?

I have the 810; it was my first Windows Phone. I think it would suit you very well. It only got an official update up to Amber, but you can always install 8.1 on it via the developer preview. Yes, the 810 does support NFC as well as wireless charging as long as you buy a wireless charging cover (I have the cyan). You can also certainly use a 64GB SD card in it. I used a 32GB card, which I got back in November 2012 when I got the phone, but I recently upgraded it to a 64GB one.

I say go for it. The 810 is a great phone!
