Nokia 822 Error Unable to find a bootable option

My wife's Nokia 822 stopped working yesterday and won't boot up. When I plug it in by USB to computer the following errors shows up "ERROR: Unable to find a bootable option. Press any key to shut down."

She has photos and contacts that have never been backed up, so we'd prefer not to hard start and wipe all the info off.

Is there a way to get the files off using my computer or other method?

Are the contacts and photos backed up on OneDrive? I'm guessing that a Hotmail or outlook email address was linked to the phone on first setup. Doubt you'll be able to get anything off the phone if the usb won't mount.

You will loose all data not on a memory card...

You will have to do a Hard Reset using the physical buttons on the phone: Nokia Lumia 822 hard reset

​You can then restore the last cloud backup during setup.
