Hey all,
Recently, I've been needing more space in my phone (16GB Samsung Ativ S) for games that I play with my buddies, and so I've been deleting music and apps that I don't use all that often. However, through this process of checking between phone storage and the Windows Phone manager app on the desktop, there seems to be a discrepancy of about 2 GB between what the computer registers as 'System' files(2.02GB) and what Storage Sense does(4.24GB).
As such, it brought to mind something that happened last year when I was new to the ecosystem. One of the first few games I tried installing was Real Soccer 2013(which was unavailable at the store at that time, refusing to download for some reason), but from some website which downloaded as a xap. file into the phone(It was the exact same size as the one in the store). So, not knowing very much, I let it finish. However, the download simply disappeared and I decided to leave it at that when I managed to get the actual app the next day from the store.
I'm not a tech junkie or anything, so it's just my plain speculation that the file has remained in the system after the download. I'd appreciate any information on this topic, thanks!
Regards, Aaron
