nokia icon wire head phones

I have a icon ,it was working great with wired head sets for the first 2 weeks . Then people started telling me that ,it sounded if i was in tunnel,loud buzzing sounds .When i would play with the connection it would improve ,however with slight movements it would start not working again . I thought it was a defected phone and exchanged for a new one . After two weeks with the new one ,same problem . I also used three different types of earbuds ,same problem . I went to best buy ,had a associate look at the phone , he took a flash light ,looked into the port . He said that the design of the port was not like all the other manufactures . His thoughts were that the design was flimsy. I really like the phone and bought a wireless set, however i would prefer a wired set .

Which headphones are you using?

Are your headphones by any chance designed for iPhones? Most headphones designed for iPhones only work properly with iDevices.

Headphones designed for Androids usually are fully compatible with Windows Phones.
