Excuse me for my english.
Why is the current active program "card" shown when you long press the back arrow, I have moved from Nokia N9 to Nokia1020 and I don't understand why the current program "card" is shown first, blocking the view so to say. I want to open another active program "card" but have to first scroll away the one I wanted to leave. Is there anyone here who know how the windows UX design have evolved the multitaskin view layout?

I would say it's for user orientation, so they know where their current app is. so it just doesn't vanish and send them off to places unknown.
Also it looks nice.

I prefer it, but being a webOS fan, my opinion with vary from the next guy.

I was considering finishing rounding out my experience with picking up a Symbian phone and maybe a Meego one. Might just do that

Nokia N9 might be the best os + hardware for its time. The processor is showing its age
but the UX + hardware design is outstanding. It's a true design icon. I think the windows ux team could get some nice cues from the meego is, still after 4 years.
