Toshiba Encore tablet 8"- sometimes won't wake

Hello,

I have recently purchased a Toshiba Encore 8" tablet. I am very happy with it... but... every so often when it is in "sleep" mode (press the button at the top and the screen goes blank) it won't "wake up".

The windows button will 'buzz', but the screen will stay blank for about a day (until the tablet runs out of batteries and is recharged) and then it will start working again.

I have tried looking for solutions and the only suggestion I can find is to install the latest drivers (which I have already done, but has not fixed the problem).

Has anyone else experienced this issue and if so do you know what can be done to stop the screen from randomly doing this?

Have you refreshed your Encore??? Not a complete refresh...the first option, I believe.
Curious if you are still having this issue.

I have almost the same situation. I have Toshiba Encore 8" and sometimes wont' wake or event won't turn on. i resolve this problem with pushing turn on button for 10 seconds and after that I try to turn on it. But sometimes , event that doesn't work. Please help. I own tablet just 3 months .

Hold down the power button and the volume button together. Keep holding down til comes back on.

In having trouble with my toshiba wt- 8b tablet,I tried all the suggestions listed.
But all it does is light up,no pictures,or logo,just a white screen then when I release the button it goes dark.charged it about 12 hours.had it about 6 months.

Is it still under warranty at all? It may be worth contacting Toshiba or where you bought it from.
