Multiple messaging app opened by taping banner notification

Consider you are in middle of a conversation, after you send an sms , your phone locked and then, new message received then you tap on the banner notification and go to read and answer that thread, and you do this a few times. then you open multitasking window and see so many messaging app showing the same thread.

I think it should be this way, if you tap banner notification and there is an open thread for this conversation it should open that, if not open new instance of messaging app.

YES! Even though I've been using Windows Phone for at least 2 years, this still annoys the heck out of me. It ruins the multitasking experience when you have 4 instances of the same thread when you press+hold the back button.
