Aquaintances continue to show up in my news feed in microsoft facebook app.

Why is it that the Microsoft Facebook app continues to post updates for acquaintances in my news feed? This has annoyed me forever and a day. I have changed and tweaked all settings on the Facebook website yet they continue to show up. Anybody have any ideas? I have a Lumia 920 with 8.1 dev preview but this always been the case in my instance ever since my htc hd7.

That's because it's always set to "Most Recent," which means that everything will be shown in chronological order, as much as possible.

Hi I'm the OP. No thats not it, Its set to top stories. This doesnt happen on my work iphone which I hate using but the app filters my news feed correctly.
