Lumia 720 headphone problem

I was listening songs using my headphones today. After when I removed the headphones the device is still showing the headphones connected. Hence my head piece is not working and music volume is also not audible. Please help... Really urgent

Have you tried inserting and removing the headphones several times in rapid succession? Sometimes that will help.

Have you tried a soft reset?

I have tried inserting and removing the headphones....yes also tried the soft reset twice. Still no change in the problem.

Try cleaning the plug, a stuck jack is common across the board, iPhones, etc.

Did you wet your phone? Any drop of water for as small as it is, could cause that problem.

Sorry pal, you're on your own! Wait like a day or two, just to be sure clean your earphone (without water), blow your earphone entrance to remove any kind of dust and maybe even keep your phone on the sun heat for a couple o hours to dry anything out, you never know. If none of that works, contact Nokia Care.
