Lumia packaging (x)30 range

This question has been bothering me for days now. Why does the lumia 930 or 630/635's package doesn't include earphones.. I really want a solid and honest answer for this. Thanks!

Msft thinks that you are upgrading from Lxxx so u already have headphone so they can save your money

sometimes it just isn't there with devices, I guess it varies.
The 920 was supposed to come with headphones, but ATT ripped it from mine.

I would assume they removed to save costs since headphones could be argued to be ubiquitous
