The lock button has become dysfunctional in Lumia 520

Hi, The lock screen button has become dysfunctinal. the pin test works. what are the other ways i can fix the physical button apart from apps. are back panels available for my phone?

There are numerous back panels available in different colors and finishes. Is it the button mechanism itself, or the plastic piece in the cover which you press?
