On 8.0 you could change the aspect ratio of videos stored on the phone ,right? I'm pretty sure I could do the same in an earlier version of 8.1, but now that option seems to have been removed. Why would they remove that feature?
I am using a 1320 with the DP , someone on another site is using a 625 with the official 8.1 and has the same problem?

Open files, select the video clip you want to play, and it will open in the native video player(Not Xbox video) the aspect ratio button will be there.

Thanks, yes that works, although it removes the ability to fast forward /rewind properly and is a bit of a faff to have to do that.
Look at this video below, at 6:28 Edit:Cannot post link. It is a review by PhoneArena

Will wait until vlc arrives, then it may be back to my Note 3. I really like WP, and I really, really like the 1320(apart from camera, which isn't to much of an issue, just one of many small issues that are all adding up).

The Samsdung feels a lot snappier, which, given the specs, I guess it should do.
Things like Phone,Gallery,Messaging are all about equal speedwise.
Things like Tapatalk are very slow on the 1320(although it looks very pretty with all the sliding in and out animations). And resuming from the multi task screen takes ages.I presume thats the 1gb RAM?? It was even worse on the 625.
I guess it depends on how you view these things. It takes a second or so longer on the 1320. I'm not going to throw it against the wall and refuse to ever look at a WP phone again, or get rid of my Note because I saw it stutter when swiping between pages as fast as I can.
I could quite happily recommend the 1320,and at the price it is, it is surely a bit of a bargain.

I think the 1520 beats the note 3,no? :)
