Could my Lumia 925 battery cover have cracked from heat?

Lumia 925 battery cover cracked from heat

So I recently purchased a lumia 925, and on the same day the back cover cracked on the left side of the camera.
I noticed the phone getting rather hot, and out of the blue a bulge appeared on the backside, followed by some cracks. The bulge has now shrunken but the cracks stayed of course. Has anyone have similar problems with their phone? And were you able to apply it for a warranty by Nokia, because how do I prove that I didn't drop this phone. Any damages to the outside exterior are not covered by Nokia.

I don't have a Lumia 925, but you should be covered by your warranty on the phone case, call up or email and explain the issue (provide photo's) .
You should be able to get a replacement cover on request because your reason sounds valid.

I have a Lumia 925, and it gets really hot but I always allow it to cool down

Contact Nokia Care..ask for Replacement

Forget Nokia. If its under 14 days old by law you get a refund or a replacement from the shop. Go to the shop instead
