Closing multiple background tasks

Hi, i was wondering if there was a quicker way to close multiple background tasks rather than individually closing each one. Its because i only have a certain amount of data usage but still want to allow incoming text or calls to come through. Just a little tedious closing each app from running in the background. Thanks

Hold your finger down on the back button....then your screen will shrink showing the other pages that are open then just press the X button on each pic to get rid of it

its better to manage background tasks using the Battery Saver app in 8.1 or the background tasks panel in settings in 8.0.
