How to Delete Folder from IE Favourites?

Running 8.1 on a Lumia 1520.

Easy question, how can I delete folders from my IE favourites?
I can delete the URL that's is saved but not the actual folder its in.
The favourites got sync'd before I went into to options and switched IE syncing off.

You need to do it from the desktop. Favourites menu, then 'organise favourites'.

On your PC, open up Internet Explorer on the desktop. Go into the Favourites menu and choose "organise favourites". You should be able to delete the relevant items in there.

Am I totally stupid or is there a way to open my desktop pc's internet explorer and delete folders from my Lumia phone? I was under the impression this question was for use with a phone.
