Unlinked contacts

How do I make windows on a lumia store my contacts on the handset only! not on hotmail, not on fb, not on twitter, not on anything other than my handset.

This is not possible. It's a nice idea that your contacts are synced with your Microsoft account. Imagine once you are in a circumstance where you have to reset/lost your phone. You can still get your contacts from Microsoft account.

Contacts on your phone or God forbid, your sim card are so 90's.

As somebody who fulfills phone warranties daily as part of his job, I beg you not to save anything locally on the phone. Especially when it is so easy to keep them saved to your account!
