That's correct. It only updated the OS.

Cyan is awaiting carrier release if your phone is on contract. I have an 920 through at&t with wp8.1 with the first update with Lumia black. The update is the os. The firmware, cyan, hasn't been released for the 920 yet.

My 920 is the US, At&t variant.
