How to pin File from OneDrive on/to Start screen (SS)

Hi there. I once trying to open accidentally pinned Excel file FROM OneDrive (not from Office) on SS. And I liked it there. But today after update 8.1 I couldn't open that file, an error would pop up "blah blah... xl file can't be opened..blah" something like that. But could open from OneDrive app, so I deleted it from SS and wanted to pin it back. When in OneDrive I select Excel file the Pin option is grayed out, works only for folders. Any idea how can I re-pin my Excel file back on SS?. I really need it there

Same here, I happened to pin a file to the start screen by accident but can't find a way to repeat this!
I'd really love this as a useful Feature but somehow I can't figure out how to achieve this.

Same here, accidentally pinned an excel file to my SS but no idea how and cannot seem to find out how to do this again.

I in first place I did pin it from OneDrive. But if you find same file in Office and long press you still can pin it from there. AND it still syncs to OneDrive (if you edit it)
