I own a Nokia Lumia 925, windows 8.1 cyan version. Recently, I noticed that the people hub and the phone book are not in sync anymore.
I have disabled facebook contacts from showing up on my people hub, however the phonebook still continues to display the phone numbers of facebook contacts. I verified my settings and:

  1. Contacts without phone #'s have been hidden.
  2. Only hotmail contacts have been selected to display on the phone book.

How do I ensure that only SIM contacts are shown in the phonebook, in other words how do I disintegrate facebook from the phonebook.

Also, I do not have cortana on my phone, any help on that which does not involve me changing my region - would also be greatly appreciated. From India. btw.

TIA and Regards,
User.

If you go into the Facebook app and into settings, you should be able to turn "Connect with my phone" off and they should no longer show up. You can also individually unlink Facebook from each contact.

Unlinking facebook for each contact doesn't work, the contacts on phonebook don't show any options at all.
Also, I do not want to turn off sync coz that would disable the fb updates from people hub.

If you link a contact, it's going to show all of the contact information for that person. You want to show Facebook status but not phone numbers. I don't think that's possible. Using the filter only hides Facebook contacts which are not linked to your regular contacts. I don't think there has ever been a way to hide Facebook contact information on a linked contact. It's always been this way for me, even in WP7.
