Question after changing region to US for Cortana

Hi all I just changed the region to the US to get Cortana and every thing works fine. Just wanted to ask if it will affect anything else on my phone. I'm guessing the spelling but what else? Also, everything in the notebook, once we finally get it in Australia property, will I be able to keep everything in there?

You'll have the US store, which can be a pain when installing stuff from the website.
