Cortana Alpha not appearing on Lumia 925 India

[WPCentral Question]

I have a Lumia 925 with WP 8.1OS and I am from India.
As per WP central and WP official website, in phone setting, i checked my Region to India, Language to English (India) and speech to English(UK).
But still i can not see Cortana Aplha in search key.
I tried soft reset, repeated resets. but the problem persists.

Any solution?

You have installed update 1 for 8.1 right? That's the only way its going to work!

I have WP 8.1 with OS version: 8.10.12393.890. It is an official update and not through developer's preview.

U hv to install a latest version of pfd
I.e gdr1
Which is not officially announced till now
If u want Cortana alpha(indian version)
U hv to sign up for pfd program

Hi,

I have Lumia 925 and already updated to WS8.1 & I already made the setting they mentioned for Cortana.

But I don't see Cortana Greeting me when I press Search Button. I have check the

Settings > Applications , I can;t find Cortana there .

Can anyone help ?

Do you have cortana now on your Lumia 925. If yes, what did you do to get it on your phone ?

Pfd= Preview For Developers

Yes it is working now. I did following things in sequence:

1) Installed Windows preview for developers (PFD) app.
2) Registered for preview for developers
3) I got new windows phone updates, so i updated them
4) Set my language to English Australia, Region to India, Speech to English United Kingdom
5) Turned the Location services ON
and voila press search buitton and she is waiting for you!:wink:
