Best Micro SD card format?

I bought a Surface Pro 3 i7, should be coming in a few weeks. Just wanted to know the best Micro SD card format, the website says it supports all these...

"microSD, microSDHC, and microSDXC"

I don't know the difference between them. Just want to store pictures and videos on the SD card and applications etc. on the internal hard drive. I need the fastest one (read and write speeds). Anyone know which ones best?

Difference is the capacity. microSD is anything 2GB and below. SDHC is 4GB+, and SDXC is either 8GB or 16GB and above. As for speeds you want class 10 or higher (the card will have a small number in a circle on it to signify).

UHS speed class 3 (denoted by a 3 in a bucket), I think is the absolute fastest.
