Changing region to get cortana...

I'm in the UK and have 8.1, don't want to do dp because my 920 is my daily driver and I don't want to mess around with it too much. Jus wondered if there were any downsides to switching the region to US to get Cortana? I don't want to mess up any of my email accounts/wp ms account. I know that's really paranoid but I'm just that kinda guy :-D.

You should not have any issues at all. The only issue could be the forecast in Fahrenheit instead of Celsius, although you can ask Cortana to convert it.

Thanks, did it last night and so far no issues . Just had to change back some of the more us specific settings (24 hr clock/bing news source). Made up with Cortana!
