I updated my Lumia 520 to Win 8.1 last night. I am no longer able to find a feature/function to playback videos I stored locally on my phone. Is this feature removed?

Under the app list, there should be an separate app called Video. It's separated from music in WP 8.1.

My "Videos" finds those on my SD cards as does my "Files". "Files" you have to install from the app store. Running sdk1. Get it using Preview for Developers after registering.
Hi, original poster here (now registered). When I clicked on the 'Video' icon it runs the xbox video service, but still didn't find my videos on my SD card. I figured out how to get the new video program to recognize my videos:
Tap: storage sense > SD card (or 'phone' if you store your videos there) > videos > manage
After following those steps, the video player now recognizes my videos and plays them back fine.
