I uninstalled it to try to see if it worked but after I tride to reinstall it this message came up :( anyone experience this and fixed it?

Same problem here,I had an app installed that i went to update,8.1 HD Tiles, and it wouldn't update.Kept throwing an install error.

I uninstalled it thinking if I were to uninstall and reinstall it might succeed. When I've tried reinstalling, I keep getting this 80004005 error. I've tried restarting my phone and I still can't get this to work.

I'm running windows phone 8.1 on a Nokia Lumia 1320.

The App Is No more Longer For Free Users...... It Costs Rs55 or 0.99 USD

Yeah same problem. Don't uninstall it, you won't be able to reinstall it without purchasing it.

Kind a **** move by the developer. It's fine if you want to charge for an app but don't screw all the people that are using it already for free.

u r not alone friend . many have same prbs even me i unistalled n now gettin same error . i think this is y wip share droped to 2.5% from 3.5% . what a shame . it has to increase n it decreased . i t hink coz of such reasons .

If you already have an app installed before, then you 'bought' the app even if it was free of charge. When the developer changes the price (from free to charged) you don't have to pay for it.

That doesn't work here. I went to my install history on windowsphone.com and clicked reinstall. It contacts my phone, says it's downloading, and then says 'App not purchased' and cancels the install.

There is a 2nd thread on this as well: http://forums.windowscentral.com/ask-question/303845-problem-8-1-hd-tiles-app.html. Maybe the mods can merge them?
But in any case, it appears that those who noticed that this is related to it being a paid app are likely correct. In the past, we have always been able to update or reinstall an app that was later made paid even if we got it when it was free. Why that's not that case here I'm not sure. The developer may have done something to disable downloads if it wasn't paid for.
Now I went to windowsphone.com and my purchase history and tried to reinstall from there. It told me it wasn't paid for. So then I clicked on it and it allowed me to buy it (I still have leftover Microsoft credit that is expiring soon from the Nokia promotion) and then it contacted my phone and installed fine.

The dev replied to my review that this infact a bug with 8.1 and not his intention, offered me a free beta version so might be worth contacting them about this.
