If you wanna work at a store like AT&T,Verizon, T-mobile, etc..

So if somebody wants to get a job at a phone store, how much knowledge do you need on phones? Barely any or more than your think? Because a family member is looking for jobs and AT&T is hiring. She dont know much about phones, i could teach the basics, ya never know.

It depends on the store, but generally, they're just asking for someone who could work long hours with rather low pay (so they're incentivized to push certain products)

It's retail.

A basic understanding would help. However, with all jobs, knowing about AT&T, what they sell and their contracts is more important than the product knowledge. Showing a general interest in the position and using the job description as a means of matching your skills to what they're after helps.

Having some background in retail is a good idea too with a strong customer service knowledge wouldn't hurt. Not saying these stores are flooded with people like this but we're talking about getting the job.
