Automobile Intergration with 8.1 software using Cortana

Is anyone having issues using Cortana when Bluetooth connected? I have a 2014 range rover and the phone works great but you cannot use Cortana leveraging voice when connected.

Have you tried calling cortana? 'Cause when you pair your phone, she will be displayed as a contact

I thought this only worked if you had the latest update (8.1 update)?
