Windows phone 8.1 problem with google apps

I was trying to add my google apps account in Lumia 720 running Windows phone 8.1 and due to configuration errors (I probably didn't verify the account through web page), the sync is not happening. But real problem is that I am not able to delete the account since the account status is always shown 'syncing....'. I tried rebooting the phone too but no use since the account is shown in disabled state.

Is there any way to delete the account so that I can add it again manually?
