Those with 0x80188308 error - can you run app backups?

Cyan firmware is finally out in my country, so I figured I'd flash and bypass the 0x80188308 error that way. Unfortunately I now find I get an error at 97% in app backups, and my last backup is 4 months old.

Wondering if it has anything to do with 0x80188308 and others are seeing this issue? Really not keen to lose everything, Windows Phone is already terrible at backups, and this is going to make it a LOT of work setting up my phone again.

Also not confident it's backing up my SMS with this happening, but I can't check the last backup date for that.

I can't update either, getting the error. I also thought about backing up my stuff and starting over but I can't backup either.

I'm on Verizon with a Lumia 822. I can't even install the GDR 1 update either. Right now I'm without Cyan (as Verizon doesn't care to roll it out apparently) and I can't update to 8.1.1 and I can't backup either. I'm starting to not like my phone!
