[L1020] SIM Card tray problem with error?

So I take out my SIM out of my 1020 and notice it is jammed. I carefully pulled it out by wiggling and finally came out nicely.

Now the goddamn tray will not read my SIM. So mad.

Any suggestions. Like can I get it fixed. I live in Canada.

My guess is that the way you got the card out has left the phone in thinking the card is not inserted even tho it is. Soft restart is a good idea. And maybe put the sim in and out a few times to hopefully correct it

Ok thanks. I visited Microsoft store today to look at repair options. Will try that.

Nope it is dead. Did a restore, cleaned out the tray and still nothing.

Does anyone have experience changing the tray. Like how much would it cost and who could do it.

Anyone want to buy a 1020 as a camera?
