Lumia 520 windows 8.1 Erased ALL my PICTURES

I updated my lumia 520, and it deleated ALL MY PICTURES, from camera, whatsapp, everything!
Is there a way to get them back?

If you were using OneDrive, they'll be on onedrive.com.

If not, you should have been as a backup.

Unless you used a tool to reset the phone to 8.1 it should not have erased any data.

some of them are on one drive, but all the 2000 from whatsapp are gone, not on one drive, or anywere on my phone

Also I did not use any tool, the phone said I could update so I said OK, then everything was gone

Apps are reinstalled and so if the app only stores data locally it may get lost. You may want to report this to WhatsApp as an issue. You may also want to report it on twitter to the WindowsPhone feed.
