Lumia Icon Nokia Camera won't stop taking pictures...

Hello,

I just made the jump from iPhone on Saturday. Yesterday I tried to take a picture with the physical photo button in the Nokia Camera app, once I took the pic, the phone kept taking photos until I exited the app.

It doesn't happen with the basic Camera app, or when using the on-screen button to take the photo.

I've tried uninstalling recent apps, re-starts, hitting the button then completely taking my hand away.

I've seen similar questions but no fix, hoping some new info has come to light.

It started to happen to my lumia 1520 last week as well.

I believe it was the last DP update but I am not sure. I don't know what to do about it. just got back from a trip and not being able to use the shutter button was really frustrating.

Hey Guys, just found this thread with the help of Mr. Google, but it seems that no one has the answer.

I read through the settings and found a solution, at least for me, now i want to help you guys too.

There is something called "bracketing" which is included in the Nokia Camera App, it takes several pictures with different lightning settings, you can choose between 3 or 5 pictures. BUT there seems to be a little bug.. I think so because the problem looks like this feature and we at least I did not activate that thing.


Solution

To fix it, i had to check the phone settings, so just pull the notifications window from top of the screen down and click on All Settings, now switch to the right to get from system settings to application settings, navigate to photos+camera. Now make sure you select Nokia Camera under Default camera app, scroll down to the bottom and hit reset camera, now the problem should be gone.
