Getting cyan update on Lumia 820?

After reading a couple of forums I've been trying to update my Lumia 820 with nokia software updater and nokia recovery tool! But all it happens is downloads but doesn't install only n i end up clicking recover my phone n backing up date now it says successfully updated with the firmware number but im still on windows 8!! How to update and is it really possible using those software or is this some fake freaking news!!? -_-

You need to use the Software Recovery tool to get back to th latest stable OS version with Firmware. For the L820, that is WP8.0 GDR3 with Black.

L820 hasn't received yet Cyan anywhere.

Ya but it said an update is available wen i opened it via NSU and if u check the track 8.1 update forum people are getting updates using these apps??
