Whatsapp Notifications not working in lumia 1020 WP8.1(Cyan)

My lumia 1020 got updated yesterday from WP8.0 to Nokia WP8.1)( Cyan), when i first opened de app i got a message saying that some features of whatsapp could not not work since the application has not been opimized for WP 8.1,i have the latest version of Whatsapp and as a matter of fact i am not getting any notiication. Am i the only one with this problem?

I received the notification too. it's nothing to worry about. If you're using Whatsapp 2.11.516, it's the latest.
go to your data sense and turn it off. Maybe it's restricting your background data.
