How do I uninstall the 8.1 update from my Nokia Lumina 521?

I installed the recovery tool and went through the whole process and when my phone restarted it was still on windows 8.1 so the recovery tool didn't reset my phone to the prior 8.0

Any other ideas on how to set it back to 8.0?

Lol it would have taken you to the GDR3+Black firmware, unless T-Mobile quietly released 8.1?

I have AT&T not TMobile. This is a Go phone prepaid by the month. Think I will go buy a Google phone tomorrow and pitch this Lumina in the trash. Really hate the 8.1 software and if I can't roll it back, I won't be using it.

then are you sure you have a 521?? the AT&T go phone is a 520, which is officially on Cyan/WP8.1. The 521 is on T-mobile and metropcs....

you may have to resort to other forms of technical voodoo to go back. Question is... What do you hate soooo much about it?

You probably have a 520 and not a 521. Secondly you really can't go back to the 8.0 software update unless you find a ROM online for the ATT variant and flash it manually. Secondly as someone posted, why don't you like the 8.1 update? If it's just UI then you can still make it look like 8.0
