Charging Issue Samsung Ativ S Neo

I am using the Samsung Ativ S Neo on Sprint and ever since the 8.1 update 1 preview it discharges faster than its being charged using the charger it came with. I was going to do a hard reset to see if that would fix it but I found a forum site that said not to hard reset Sprint windows phones on the 8.1 preview or else you wouldn't be able to get your data connection back since there is no longer an update network profile section in the settings. I am really hoping that this could just be an issue with the firmware that will fix itself whenever Sprint decides to roll out the update. Is anyone else having this issue or potentially know of a fix?
