I have a desktop and a surface pro 3 (which is considered a full blown PC and not a tablet)

the 6.99 / month deal says you can install office on 1 pc/mac and 1 tablet.

I need the office on both desktop and surface pro 3. Does it consider them as 1 by user or physical computers?

thanks.

Pretty sure not because the surface pro runs the full windows. If you connect the two (via display) and only use the surface pro then yes.

It's considered two desktops.

You can buy an annual subscription for Office 365 Home Premium on Amazon Prime for $63.99. This comes out to <$6/month, and allows you to install Office on 5 PCs. This price is from Amazon in the US; if you're not from the US this price may not apply.
