Nokia 720 20 days After Windows 8.1 Hung

The phone is hung. Display on. No hardware button works. Not able to shut down. Removed sim card - still the status is same. If it was having a removable battery then the problem would be simple. But ingenious Nokia thought not expose the battery. What can i do?

Try soft reset by pressing volume down and power but for 15 sec.

how can it happen for straight 20 days. Only possible when charging continuously. Remove the phone from charging and eventually it will discharge in its own. Happened to my Lumia 625 too so simply did this.
