Downgrade back to 8.0?

I have a Lumia 920 and recently upgraded my device from 8.0 to 8.1. I've messed around with Cyan and I really don't like it. Is there a safe way (without bricking my phone, don't care about my files those can be redownloaded) to downgrade back to 8.0?

The Nokia Software Recovery tool is now updated to install 8.1 with Cyan on your phone. Hence you cannot go back to WP 8.0 with Lumia black firmware.

If you messed around with Cyan then do a clean install and start over again. What did you mess up with ?

I didn't mean that I messed up my phone. I just meant that I played around with the new software.
So you're saying the only thing I could do is do a clean install? Is that like a hard reset?

Does using the Nokia Software Recovery tool to downgrade from the developer preview in order to get the cyan update remove all the data? (pictures, videos, app data)
