L625 not detect sd card

Hi guys I've been using a Lumia 625 for a almost a year now,but just this morning I can't use my sd card..phone says it needs to be formatted..but I do try it it then said sd card could not be formatted

sd cards do go bad - that's the first thing I'd check, can you read / write to it on another device
