lockscreen password bug

Hello everyone,
I have problem with lockscreen password on my lumia 530.
I set a lockscreen password on my device recently. However, if I try to unlock it the phone says it is wrong password. So I tried to change the password over live ID. Fine, the change is made, I even left myself a message on the screen to make sure it really took change, but still my phone won't accept the password.
Please any help besides hard reset.

I'm confused, you can't change your lock screen password from anywhere but settings>lock screen. If you changed your MS acct password, that's different.

How did you send yourself a message? Using find my phone feature?

Yes, used find my phone feature. According to some forums it is the way in case you forget the password. really mean lockscreen password...

That's factory resetting tho. You can do the same with a button sequence.
