Does Lumia 520 need new battery?

My Nokia Lumia 520 battery is not charging. It has been on charge both at home and in repair shop but nothing seems to be working does this mean a new battery is needed or is there a fault with the phone it is only 6 months old what is the best solution

What did they say at the shop? Have they tried a new battery?

Go to the nokia care centre, they'll fix it. It'll be an internal problem, changing battery won't help
